I started a new tube of toothpaste today, and it tastes like cough syrup.

I am truly disgusted with the toothpaste my mom bought a few weeks ago. It's for people with sensitive teeth ... and it tastes like sugar. I truly dislike toothpastes that do not make my mouth minty-free-feeling once I have completed the task of brushing.
Is it Sensodyne? Sensodyne was the last tube that I was using. I never thought it tasted like sugar. Maybe I just got use to it? Or maybe what you're using isn't Sensodyne at all.
But I'm getting use to the cough syrup taste day by day. Maybe I'll become so desensitized to that taste that next time I need to take cough syrup I wouldn't taste it at all.

Not Sensodyne, rather Arm & Hammer something something for sensitive teeth.
